Snowmen

Perfect snowman making weather!

3 brothers, 3 snowmen
Loves playing outside!
Andrew must be working too hard! Or he wants to play too!? *No engineer was hurt during the making of this picture. Do not attempt at home!*
A blast from the past….This is the type of snowman you get when you put an Electrical Engineer in charge! Mom was getting a haircut and Daddy was “babysitting” back when there was two brothers.

Snow Globe

Today it feels like we live in a snow globe! It was so much fun being able to do chores and work with the ponies as a family! I’m holding these days precious as I realize our children will grow up and have their own families someday… In the meantime we are busy making memories!

Who knew! Andrew is a natural horse wrangler!
Our little bronc rider bonding with his Dad!

Learning

One way or the other God is going to make me a cook before I am 40. I found out a couple of hours ago that our family is responsible for bringing a meatless soup and bread for Stations of the Cross and simple supper tonight. Did you know that you can make vegetable broth by boiling down an assortment of vegetables? I am learning!

Vegetable broth on the left and vegetables for the vegetarian soup on the right.
Soup! I am definitely not a vegetarian, but this soup smells amazing! Have I mentioned that I look forward to having a garden?! Because I bet vegetable broth can be canned. Oh the possibilities!

Calm before the Storm

It is 18 above and perfectly still without even a breeze. We decided to spend as much time outdoors as possible as a storm is forecasted to come this way. Our thoughts are with our friends and family to the East as they are supposed to receive much more snow.

Finally warm enough to walk down by the horses.
King of the Mountain!
My little sweetheart!

Fruitful Lent

We had a “Fat Tuesday” supper with neighbors tonight. Hoping all of you have a fruitful and blessed Lent.

May we all “die to ourselves” in order to grow closer to God. I hope I can do my part in praying, fasting, and almsgiving.

Wheels on the Bus

In the last two days I had two people ask if our Kindergartener rode the bus to school. So, I thought I would post these pictures. The bus comes to the front of the house to pick him up before school and drops him off after school.

He’s home!
