I love apple trees.  Ours did not bear fruit this year (not a huge surprise since they were planted in May.)  Grandma Anh’s apple tree has many apples and she shared with us.  Her apple tree’s apples are sweet and soft however, and Andrew prefers the tart, hard apples to make applesauce… I should ask around and see if there are any close for the picking.

This old woman should be snoring.  It rained all day Saturday and it rained all day today.

What to do on a rainy day after breakfast and chores?

Andrew likes the fog that was here this morning.

We picked our first gourd tonight.

He’s enjoying his birthday present he got from a friend today.

What a fun weekend!  We started Friday night celebrating with the Gietzens & Meyers, and on Saturday the Jacobsons made the long trip to see us and to celebrate with Ambrose!
