Cattle Drive

We had a beautiful cattle drive. Grandma and Grandpa Jacobson came to help. Lee, Jack, Tracy, Jada and Don all helped make the cattle drive a success!

Bulls 🐂

We had two bulls get injured likely from fighting other bulls in the herd. Tonight we loaded them up. Andrew has really gotten to know the herd this year, he knows their dispositions.

The second bull took quite a bit more coaxing.

& he’s on! We have some really kind and gentle bulls.

Harvest Moon 🌕

It’s difficult to capture its beauty with a smartphone.

Andrew drew my attention to the harvest moon when he was out in the pasture moving fence.

The geese are becoming quite magnificent looking. They are a neat addition to the farm.

Grandpa finished baling and Andrew started cutting the marsh.

Off to make another. The millet is yielding better than we thought.

There have been tiny shots of rain that have slowed the baling process. Doesn’t really amount to much but it stops baling.

Sick Deer🦌

There’s a sick deer in our yard. I called Game and Fish she was acting so weird. Andrew got quite close to her. Apparently there’s an EHD breakout in this area. Thank heavens it doesn’t transfer to other animals or humans. The ponies are not thrilled with her being there.
