Happy All Saints Day!
Month: October 2022 (Page 1 of 2)
Andrew and I strive to Say the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3pm…the days when we are able to fit it in are the Best Days. St. Faustina…pray for us! Live with Joy, friends! We love finding the balance of not being scrupulous and not being presumptuous but Living that Beautiful Joy filled Christ Centered Life!
Today’s Meditation “Let the sinner know that he will be tortured throughout all eternity, in those senses which he made use of to sin. I am writing this at the command of God, so that no soul may find an excuse by saying there is no hell, or that nobody has ever been there, and so no one can say what it is like. I, Sister Faustina, by the order of God, have visited the abysses of hell so that I might tell souls about it and testify to its existence.” —St. Faustina Kowalska (741) |
Blessed to have such encouraging and supportive friends and family.
A friend shared this with the book club: a bit of crass language but worth reading:
A serious carver. Asked to carve a gourde this year.
Beautiful weather. Wonderful people. Many hands make light work!
Quote of the Day
“Build an oratory within yourself, and there have Jesus on the altar of your heart. Speak to Him often while you are doing your work. Speak to Him of His holy love, of His holy sufferings and of the sorrows of most holy Mary.”
–St Paul of the Cross
We just wrapped up a 12 mile cattle drive. Awesome helpers made the long drive go smoothly!
We publicly renewed our wedding vows today!
Grandpa set up a playdate for our boys to have some school friends out to collect and chuck corn bundles… Many hands make light work! The “town kids” really enjoyed seeing the sheep and poultry and other animals when they were done hauling bundles.
Daily Verse
“If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, his religion is vain. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained by the world.”–James 1:26-27
