Adventures in Haymarsh

Month: June 2022 (Page 1 of 2)

Making Hay While the 🌞 Shines!

Haying season has begun!

Grandpa and Simon took time to comb up Rocket and trim his feet. He looks quite dandy!

A beautiful and simple prayer:

May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most incomprehensible and unutterable Name of God be always praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified, in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth, by all the creatures of God, and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Amen.

Sr. Mary said that β€œat that moment I believe I saw streaming from the Sacred Heart of Jesus, delightfully wounded by this β€˜Golden Arrow,’ torrents of graces for the conversion of sinners.”

The Golden Arrow prayer forms the backbone of the Holy Face Devotion, which Our Lord revealed to Sr. Mary in a series of revelations in the 1840s. He desired Sr. Mary to spread this devotion in particular to atone for blasphemy, the sins of atheism and communism, and the profanation of Sundays, especially by Christians.

Prayer to the Most Holy Redeemer

Soul of Christ, sanctify me.

Body of Christ, save me.

Blood of Christ, embolden me.

Water from the side of Christ, wash me.

Passion of Christ, strengthen me.

O good Jesus, hear me.

Within your wounds hide me.

Never permit me to be parted from you.

From the evil Enemy defend me.

At the hour of my death call me

and bid me come to you,

that with your Saints I may praise you

for age upon age.

Amen.

Blessings

We were blessed with two visitors on Friday.

Ran fence lines on Saturday.
Andrew and the herd that is really bonding to him, they come running when they see him in his fencing gator.
Andrew and Rosie. Dependent on the availability/affordability of petroleum resources this may be an alternative transportation. πŸ˜‰
So fun to see our first treasure grow & thrive out here in the middle of nowhere 😊
Garden time! I love following Andrew’s work, he’s such a perfectionist.
Observing insects. Future Entomologist?
Helping Aunt Anna by watering her flowers.
Andrew made Lucy an adorable peach crepe on Saturday.

🀠 Purposeful Work

He’s becoming a capable young man.Β  May all of our children find God and happiness in their work throughout their entire lives.

We went to check on the bulls last night.

Our oldest son is helping Daddy run a fence line, and our second son is helping Grandpa. πŸ’š FAMILY FarmsπŸ’š
One of the neatest things ever is watching the cattle go into their next paddock. Andrew and Simon are downright advanced, well past proficient, in putting in those fence lines.

Gifts

This article neatly illustrates, why I will encourage each and every one of my little treasures to become proficient at an instrument.

So adorable when they fall asleep in the high chair.😴

Meanwhile…back at the ranch.

Family Fencing

We spent a good chunk of today, Saturday, fencing in the “pretty pasture” as Andrew calls it.

He and Dad had to totally rebuild this corner. Looks good fellas!
Grandpa wrapped up corn planting and harrowing today.🌽
