Mary’s Baptism!

What a day to remember! Our little girl joined the Body of Christ today, in as the priest said a “historic church” & surrounded by wonderful people!  Let me tell you what, when it comes to work ethic you can’t have a better work crew than Grandpa Bob, Grandma Jen, Great Grandma Arleen, Uncle & Godfather Chris and that Andrew!  Thanks so much for all of your help in preparing the food!  Special shout out to Aunt Anna and her wonderful cake and Nancy for delivering it!  Also, thank you Catherine for being Godmother!  The musicians played beautifully also!  Thank you Mya, Mercedes, Malachi, Micah, and Marty! And thank you for joining them Christi & Lynnette!

The Musicians!
Grandpa Russell’s head cheese and liver sausage went over very well!
Fun times with Good Neighbors!
Great Grandma Arleen! Mary is so blessed to have her Great Grandma attend her Baptism!
Dedicated Grandparents! They have their hands full!
Godmother Catherine meeting Mary!
She’s Baptized! Thank you Fr. Zwack!
Godfather Chris, Fr. Zwack, Godmother Catherine!
My Godfather, Ted!
Gietzen Grandparents, Mary is the 4th Generation on the Gietzen side to be Baptized in St. Clements. William Nicholas in 1893, William Frederick in 1927, William Russell in 1949 (Baptized in Sacred Heart in Glen Ullin), Monica in 1981, and now her!

January Thaw

The Boys enjoyed sledding today in the 42 degree weather!

Ready for his nap!
We had company for a short bit…they hadn’t seen the house yet, and they met little Mary Isabella!
Making homemade pizza!
Andrew & Sons Pizzeria, Haymarsh, North Dakota
Best part of winter evenings…Daddy reading!
Ok, the piano playing is nice too!
Good bye 2019, 🎄O Tannenbaum 🎶. This Christmas will always hold a very special place in my heart, laboring on Christmas Day & being delivered of a healthy girl…there are definitely moments in life that I am proud that will ripple for eternity, and that’s one of them. It’s sad to see the tree be taken down, but we decided we’d need the space for the Baptism party!

Big Stocking, Little Girl!

We love it Marie!  Thank you, thank you!

Big brothers love the detail on Mary’s Christmas Stocking!
She’s all set for Christmas 2020!
Admiring her Christmas Stocking! She’s 1 week old today!
So adorable!
We really appreciate the St. Paul’s Newman Center, Bison Catholic Covered in Prayer ministry. A good reminder that whatever life throws at you, God is always there! Also, it’s extra special that I met Andrew at the Newman Center.

Heaven

I think quite possibly the closest thing to Heaven is a safe and happy delivery of a healthy Baby!

Likely the hardest challenge of having a Baby Daughter!😉🥰. Cuddle & Nap Time!
Grandma couldn’t help herself, she heard the Baby was home and had to come and see!
The boys picked out some pretty girl things for Mary.
Our neighbor, Mary Ann, brought over supper for us and the cute little headband for Mary.
A minute ago everyone was playing a calm quiet card game. Now Daddy is being dogpiled.
A very busy Dad!
Electrical Engineer in training? Today she job shadowed Daddy for a half an hour.

Our Christmas Miracle

She joined our family at 2:33 this morning!  Andrew had to take a second look, it was a GIRL!  We are blessed beyond measure!

This sweet Baby got a visit from this sweet Lady!
I’m spoiled rotten by that husband of mine! A rocking chair for Baby & I!

Christmas Eve

Daddy is putting in a work day so we spent some time outside.

Enroute to gather noon eggs the boys noticed Grandpa’s snowpile….after being thoroughly warned of young children with sleds and tractor/traffic tragedies they had a few slides down the hill. Wishing All A Happy Christmas Eve! I don’t think we’ll make Midnight Mass but we’re aiming for the earlier one. I was reminded to enjoy the Presence of Christ & Loved Ones more than the presents. I remember when the tree in the background was shorter than me. The only constant in life is change. I hope everyone has a blessed day… special warm thoughts to our Montevideo Family… we’ll miss you and the festivities! Christ’s Peace & Love!!!

One Last Move

We made one more move before the end of the year!  It was just across the road…so a very short move.

Leaving their current pasture and crossing the road to the new pasture.
Using the tractor to lead them to the sudan grass.
Enjoying the new food!
Cattle mover helpers.
Simon was able to join us at storytime to make trees!
