The tulips are blooming!  With determination and consistent watering we might get some things to grow!

Andrew was able to find us a new no till disk that fits our tractor size!  With quite a bit of coordination it was trucked from Georgia, unloaded in Glen Ullin and Andrew drove to town with the tractor and brought it home.  Grandpa Bob and he worked most the afternoon assembling it, and now he’s planting!!!🌽🌽🌽

We are enjoying having Grandma and Grandpa Jacobson here.  We all enjoyed the Spring Concert.  School end activities are a flurry, but usually fun.  Simon’s teacher worked with Simon since her daughter is also a teacher and wanted to hatch out chicks in her classroom.  The number of chicks that hatched was quite low, but the teacher reported…”The Pre K, Kindergarten & 1st grade came to see them. So precious!”

We’re running low on beef in our freezer.  We have a “connoisseur” come and begin the process (a very educational process), it is such a humane way to butcher.  He’s a sure shot, the steer is happily eating and within seconds it’s over… in the past when we loaded them and took them to the butcher shop, the animal had some stress and I think it was able to be tasted on the meat.  The rest of the processing happens in Bismarck.  Beef it’s what’s for dinner! 🍽️

Grandma turned 96 today.  Anna and Catherine threw her a party 🎉

Everything was approved and the tank is being filled with water!

Today is our official due date start for the cow herd. Andrew went out to find six newborns.  Grandpa and I will be busy tagging!

GU is very lucky that Andrew is willing to share his many talents.  Today, he was dubbed The Piano Man by the music department.  Wonder if he’ll ever share with them that he’s actually more proficient at the trumpet?
