Love plant

The first floral gift that Andrew gifted me was a plant.   I jokingly called it our “love plant.” The third year I had it, I gave it a haircut that may have briefly snuffed the life out of it, then it grew again.  It made several moves in Fargo, then out west, was finally transferred to our house on a frigid January day in 2019 and today….it bloomed for the first time in 13 years!

Knight

The boys are proud of this rooster, he’s a White Faced Black Spanish.  He was the “extra” sent with the batch last summer.  They named him, Knight, I think he’s quite eye catching.

On our way home after collecting eggs. This winter has been so mild thus far. Today, I’m wondering is it January or April?

Winter ❄️

Winter decided to make an appearance this morning.

Off to chores!

Happy New Year!

Fun to be 1!

I’m not sure if it’s because she was born during the holidays, if it’s because she’s the fourth child, or if it’s because she began walking at 10 months, but this Baby has sure grown quickly! Seems as if we just brought her home from the hospital!
Santa brought us matching aprons 💕

Merry Christmas!

Our dear friends and loved ones, may you know the love and joy that the Baby born in a manger brings!

Merry Christmas!🎄
Joy to the world! The Lord is come.

Let earth receive her King!

Let every heart prepare Him room

And heaven and nature sing

And heaven and nature sing

And heaven, and heaven and nature sing!

This crew hasn’t been together since 2011. Thanking God for today!!!

Jingle bells, jingle bells 🔔 on our way to Caroling to a neighbor from the hayrack.🎶
God Bless Busy Mothers💝
God bless cousins who are willing to help during Mass & God bless mothers who encourage their children to participate in playing music during Mass.🎶

Our First Tree

Andrew shared a throwback picture of our first tree.

My two helpers today.
Heading out to chores.
Ready to greet the day.
The boys’ room. I mustn’t be the only one with a fond appreciation of “Charlie Brown” trees.

O Come, Divine Messiah!

We put up the tree today. O Tannenbaum, O Tannenbaum 🎶
A walk in the woods. Andrew took this picture.
Helping decorate the 🎄.
The tree decorating crew. A much smaller tree than last year.
They looked at a homegrown tree as a potential (it’s one Andrew and I planted in 2012, and will have to be cut down for a road) but the shape wasn’t quite what the boys were looking for.
Grandma’s tree is up.
They raised this broiler, butchered it and it was a truly homemade meal. Garden potatoes, carrots, onions and a homegrown chicken. God is a good provider!
Dear Savior, haste! Come, come to earth.
Dispel the night and show your face,
And bid us hail the dawn of grace.
O come, Divine Messiah!
The world in silence waits the day
When hope shall sing its triumph,
And sadness flee away.
