We sorted, worked, and hauled a package of late calvers today.

Rounding up.

We received .90 last night. This moisture is sure making the garden perk up. The heat stress is leaving the plants.

Locking up the ducks and goslings last evening.💙💜💛

After a week of 90 degree weather and dry, hot wind, we received a much needed .75 of rain last night. Everything is breathing a sigh of relief…all the plants in the garden even though it’s being watered were withering.

An interesting picture sent from my older brother. Happy birthday U.S.A.!🎇

We moved out pairs today, did we pick a cooker! God sent Maria and Uncle Peter to make this day survivable for us! When we were finished at 5:30 p.m. I looked at my phone and it said 102°

Take me out to the Ball game, take me out to the crowd 🎶, (even though it’s way too hot outside!)

Enough is Enough. We had our third loss from predators on Friday, 3 calves eaten since June 6th. Local ranchers suggested I call Game & Fish. I met with a nice fellow on Saturday morning. This morning they are out with an airplane, I’ve heard 12 shots. I hope they are able to get the predators killing our calves. The only losses (besides one premature twin) we’ve had this year was to predators.

The sharp shooters just reported, “We shot 3 down by marsh 1 east of your house 1 north east.” Hopefully that will stop the calves from being eaten.

The little towns out here have only outdoor options… it’s supposed to be in the 90s this week…so outdoors should be fine.
