Adventures in Haymarsh
It’s healthy to get off the farm once in a blue moon. Tonight, we attended the NDSU Newman Center fundraising banquet. Thank you Mya for babysitting!
This past week we finished hauling soybean straw, Grandpa and the Boys picked all the potatoes on Monday, and we harvested the rest of the garden.
Grandpa is trying to get this team ready to sell. They look quite Majestic!
We combined the heifers with the herd last evening.Β Then Andrew and the two oldest boys dug some potatoes, while we hauled the remaining bales out of the Marsh.Β It was well past dark when we all finished, but success is a great feeling! Now we can say …”let it rain, let it pour”… π§οΈ please fill up the Stock dams!
The pasture we were in, we were hauling water three times a day. Each trip took approximately 1 hour and a half.Β Last night, Don, Denyka, and Jason helped us move them across the road.
Thank God this fellow was born in to this family, if he wasn’t, the produce would just sit in the garden. We’re meeting ourselves coming and going these days.
