Happy September!🌻 & Potatoes

Pommes de Terre.  One of the few things I remember from my college French course.  Pommes de terre translates to “apples of the ground.”  Ignatius and I had a lot of fun digging up a half a row this morning.  We lost our entire potato crop last year on October 4th it snowed, and was 4 or so above for most of the week…so I’m a little gunshy, that’s why I’ve begun digging this early.

Such a good little worker, he put every potato gathered this morning in the buckets.
A “big” one!
After school activity… potato digging.
Today’s potatoes.
Eggplants for supper.
We’ve got some beautiful, big watermelons coming!
Winter squash.
2 pretty Cinderella pumpkins…one for Grandma and one for Grandpa.
I really appreciate fall flowers! So colorful!!!🏡️
The impatiens did not look so good when I planted them, now they’ve been in their “Glory” these last couple of weeks!

Looks like enough potatoes for the whole winter. Really nice flowers too.

Thanks Bob, Andrew convinced me to leave the rest in the ground for a bit, but I do feel like I have enough just in case…
