I like to seek counsel after confession and we’ve been supporting each other successfully in utilizing monthly reconciliation/confession.  The priest yesterday shared with me about pious aspirations.  Here’s a link explaining them and I will include some examples:

“My beloved and despised Redeemer, how sweet it is to suffer for You.” – St. Alphonsus

“Do with me, O Lord, as you will and know to be best.” – St. Philip Neri

Our oldest is going from a boy to a young man, he gets to write thank you cards to businesses that supported 4-H.
Our second son has had two piano lessons and appears to enjoy them.
