Fixing some “oops!”

Our contractor had to come out and run a gas line for our cookstove that had been overlooked and a vent for our range.

We were having troubles keeping the mailbox numbers on so Andrew used the saying, “use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without.”  He used some old barbed wire to make the numbers.

A thermostat & Heat!

Well our house now has heat.  There was a mystery truck, a man with a ladder and a hose here yesterday.  My better half says they were probably blowing insulation in to the attic.

The mystery truck, a hose, a ladder, and a man… sometimes it’s best not to ask questions!?!

The garage is looking more complete and all the sheetrock is in!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Toboggan weather

You won’t be able to see it due to the snow, but Kelvin, my Dad’s 79 year old cousin, has been over the last two days working on smoothing out the ruts that the builders made.  Dick came and dropped some more crushed rock and gravel and now we are able to enter the garage!  Watching Kelvin work was like watching an artist paint.  Without using GPS, he was able to make such a neat and smooth approach/driveway/cul-de-sac!  Thank you Kelvin!

I always think the church looks so pretty in these kinds of snows, so I thought I’d share a picture with you, it doesn’t do it justice however… It’s much more beautiful in real life!

We went to gather panels from one of the pastures, this was the road we were driving on, the snow makes it look so pretty.
It’s nice to think that soon and very soon we will be able to live here!  There’s a song that goes “soon and very soon we are going to see the King!”. If you know that song, I bet you are singing it now :-). The fiber optic fellows were out yesterday and now there is fiber optic to the house.
