Mentor

My Dad is always mentoring folks…this young lady looks to me as a mentor.  It’s been fun working through the “cattle drama” from moving our pairs with her.  The children enjoy her influence/presence too!

Problem solving mispairs.
My excellent right hand helper these last few days!
Final problem solved for this pair trucking. Matching pairs can be such a hassle when trucking.

Today’s Meditation ✨

Today’s Meditation

“The glory of a good person is the evidence of a good conscience. Have a good conscience and you will always be happy. A good conscience can bear a great deal and still remain serene in the midst of adversity, while a bad conscience is fearful and easily ruffled. Only be glad when you have done well. Evil persons are never really happy, nor do they feel peace within them; for ‘there is no peace for the wicked, says the Lord’ (Isa. 48:22). Even though the wicked may protest that peace is theirs and that no evil shall harm them, do not believe them. For God’s wrath will suddenly overtake them, and all they have done will be brought to nothing and their plans destroyed.”

—Thomas á Kempis, p. 76

Making Hay While the 🌞 Shines!

Haying season has begun!

Grandpa and Simon took time to comb up Rocket and trim his feet. He looks quite dandy!

A beautiful and simple prayer:

May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most incomprehensible and unutterable Name of God be always praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified, in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth, by all the creatures of God, and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Amen.

Sr. Mary said that “at that moment I believe I saw streaming from the Sacred Heart of Jesus, delightfully wounded by this ‘Golden Arrow,’ torrents of graces for the conversion of sinners.”

The Golden Arrow prayer forms the backbone of the Holy Face Devotion, which Our Lord revealed to Sr. Mary in a series of revelations in the 1840s. He desired Sr. Mary to spread this devotion in particular to atone for blasphemy, the sins of atheism and communism, and the profanation of Sundays, especially by Christians.
