Leek soup

As Andrew was making the leek soup he explained to the children how the Israelites after being freed from slavery, wandered in the desert for 40 years and complained that they didn’t have leeks. So we’re going to eat some leek soup for supper.

The leased ram is going home.
The inside crew had fun baking bread and making donuts for when the outside crew comes in from preparing for an upcoming storm.

Fathers

If I speak in human and angelic tongues but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, [love] is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. If there are prophecies, they will be brought to nothing; if tongues, they will cease; if knowledge, it will be brought to nothing. For we know partially and we prophesy partially, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. When I was a child, I used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things. At present we see indistinctly, as in a mirror, but then face to face. At present I know partially; then I shall know fully, as I am fully known. So faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love. -Corinthians

Why We Need to Pray to St. Joseph for Our Husbands & Fathers (Fatima Holds A Key!)

Invasion? Or welcoming the homeless? Hard to tell what our domestic geese and ducks are thinking.
Methinks Invasion. Will be good if the marsh melts a bit and gives the geese somewhere to swim.

Duck Eggs

The duck eggs are back!

It’s that time of year! The ducks have begun laying eggs again. Are you able to differentiate between the duck and chicken egg? (Hint…duck eggs are generally bigger than chicken eggs.)

☘️ Happy St. Patrick’s Day!💚

Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left, Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down, Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me, Christ in the mouth of every man who speaks of me, Christ in the eye that sees me, Christ in the ear that hears me.

  • “May the best day of your past be the worst day of your future.”
  • “May green be the grass you walk on, may blue be the skies above you, may pure be the joys that surround you, may true be the hearts that love you.”
  • “May you have the hindsight to know where you’ve been, the foresight to know where you’re going, and the insight to know when you’re going too far.”
  • “May peace and plenty be the first to lift the latch to your door and Happiness be your guest today and evermore.”
We feel very blessed to have had Father Bruce Krebs attend our celebration supper and the Meyers.

Good Morning 🌄

Last night we went out for a walk and a couple hundred geese flew over us approximately 50 ft above our heads, it was an incredible experience! The marsh at this time of year is really neat with all the different avian activity!

We have a new neighbor! When baby Rhett was born I did a dance, we feel so blessed that his mommy and daddy are part of our community and it was really nice to have his mommy over to look through the baby clothes to see if she could use any. It takes a village to raise a family!
