Adventures in Haymarsh

Toboggan weather

You won’t be able to see it due to the snow, but Kelvin, my Dad’s 79 year old cousin, has been over the last two days working on smoothing out the ruts that the builders made.  Dick came and dropped some more crushed rock and gravel and now we are able to enter the garage!  Watching Kelvin work was like watching an artist paint.  Without using GPS, he was able to make such a neat and smooth approach/driveway/cul-de-sac!  Thank you Kelvin!

I always think the church looks so pretty in these kinds of snows, so I thought I’d share a picture with you, it doesn’t do it justice however… It’s much more beautiful in real life!

We went to gather panels from one of the pastures, this was the road we were driving on, the snow makes it look so pretty.
It’s nice to think that soon and very soon we will be able to live here!  There’s a song that goes “soon and very soon we are going to see the King!”. If you know that song, I bet you are singing it now :-). The fiber optic fellows were out yesterday and now there is fiber optic to the house.

Homeward Bound

With 53 degree weather, a slight breeze and some sunshine we headed the “Bossies” home.  The cow herd is now in their winter pasture.  Little man just loves our good old horse and begs to ride him every chance he can.

All smiles because he got to ride Buster, the good ol’ horse.

Sheetrock

Looks like a bit of a disaster, but I bet it’s just part of the process.

Seeing the walls in place makes this seem so much more real!
A room with a window, walls, outlet and a light spot, now aren’t we getting all modern?!?

Counting My Blessings

& Praising God!

It’s my annual time of year to thank the good Lord for the Best Husband, Three Sons, & All of My Relatives, Friends & Benefactors that encourage me to be who the Lord wants me to be.  I ask God for the strength to overcome the challenges I’ll face this year & I ask He allow me to know how blessed I am Each and Every Moment!

Our House!

The snow is making me just want to tell the fellas, “just go home, I’m moving in and going to finish it myself!”  Patience does not come easy for me!  However, they are doing such a gorgeous job, I’m excited to see what the inside will look like!!!

A good friend of mine who just went through this process last year said building a house is like the labor process of having a child. I feel like we’re at a 7, only 3 more cm to go!

Home Sweet Home!
Gator came home from the shop yesterday… I guess it fits in the garage!

Happy November!

Happy All Saints Day!  For multiple reasons November has always been my favorite month 🙂. The plumber was here today and the electrician and his crew have completed their work for now.  The insulation people were here today too.

Alot of insulation has been put in place.
Looking forward to bath time here!
Last side to side on the house.
