Adventures in Haymarsh
Enjoyed the evening with the Well Read Mom Group.

Today we worked the yearling heifers and hauled them out to pasture.

Words cannot capture the beauty of this morning! I ran over to give the chickens the chicken garbage with no jacket on, there is no breeze, all the animals are out sunning themselves and the ground is frozen. After this cold winter, this morning is such a gift! My Darling Dear detests the mud that happens in the afternoon because of the melting snow, but I keep encouraging him that a good pair of rain boots and a few sunny days is all he needs. It seems to dry so fast here compared to wetter areas, even in just this state.

We just spotted the first goose of the season! One time when I was growing up there was a pair of swans in the marsh! When I’m a real old lady I think I’ll take my binoculars and go bird watching!

Shamrock cookies & corned beef and cabbage. Going to make this 1/16 & 1/32 Irish count!

Happy March 14th! 3.14! Have a piece of pie! We must be right on the line of the storm. We did not get any snow that I can tell, and even the breeze is going down and it was quite a pleasant walk at 10 a.m. 6 miles away however there is no travel advised.

What to do when it’s windy and cold outside? Although no snow has hit here yet. Play games!

This picture was taken last night after 7 pm. I am going to pay attention tonight, but I think it’s still not dark until after 8 pm. It’s hard for our Kindergartener to go to bed with it being light outside. Of course, sounds like there’s a blizzard heading this way tonight, so maybe it will be snowing/blowing and not a fair assessment of the sunset time.

Perfect snowman making weather!
