Skunk!

The skunks are coming out of hibernation! Simon found a surprise in the 🐔 coop. Andrew and he had an exciting morning. Grandpa made sure Mr. Skunk won’t be eating any more eggs. Phew…pooey!

April storms…bring snowbanks? Aren’t April showers supposed to bring May flowers?

We lucked out this time and are only dealing with a nasty wind and overcast sky. I have been thinking about our friends and family in Harwood, ND that are dealing with flooding and having access issues to their homes. Also, I have been thinking of and praying for our friends and family in Eastern ND and MN. April storms can be disheartening and I sure feel bad for the baby calves!

Out My Kitchen Window!

Thousands of Cranes left the marsh this morning. I think this is what they are: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandhill_crane they flew right over our house on their way out.

The marsh is teeming with life and songs of different birds.
A flock of those cranes sitting in our alfalfa field.

Range Fed Eggs

Come at a cost…. cleaning the chicken coop is part of the price. However, when done as a family activity, cleaning the coop can be sort of fun.
