Some folks have pet dogs, some folks have pet fish, some have pet parakeets, we have pet cows. Even they keep us grounded and help us “keep the Faith,” as uncle Fred says on departure.

Andrew’s pretty white house blesses the prairie with aesthetic appeal.

I purchased a dehydrator yesterday, I remember my mom’s dried fruit and jerky disappearing before she could store them. Andrew and I worked until 1:00 a.m. slicing up the little pears we picked on Sunday. I hope my children, if called to marriage, enjoy the company of their spouse. I sure do.

Our “cash crop” sells today. Andrew has invested a lot of his “off work” time these last 18 months providing feed and supplements along with rotational grazing on these steers, I hope he gets a just wage and is compensated for his time and dedication to them.

Thank goodness for her direction, we’d be so lost without her management on which steers to load next.

Our most favorite benefit or perk of living out here is that we get to catch a daily Mass, and since Michelle has been put up for the canonization process, there has been more and more opportunities for us! This morning, Dickinson Trinity brought a class of students out for Mass.
