Adventures in Haymarsh

Month: October 2018 (Page 2 of 3)

A Day of Gratitude!

Today we were blessed to be surrounded by family and friends on both sides of the state!  A great big Thank YOU to Grandma Jen, Grandpa Bob, Jeremy, Raphael, Nicole, Aidric, Atticus, Thomas, Tony, and of course beloved Andrew!  Thank you for helping load up our household possessions!  Thanks also to Uncle Steve for helping pack last night!

Hats off to Grandma Anh, Don, Tracy, Lee, Kat, Andy, Uncle Aaron, Cousin Elijah, Glen, Delbert and Trish.   Grandpa Russell and I would have struggled with out your help moving the herd.  We are blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful folks!

It was a chilly cattle drive!

Sunshine = Progress!

I didn’t want to inhibit progress and they have their very large German Shepherd dog with, he could probably eat me. So I didn’t get very close. But, I think there’s some interior walls up.

Height freights?  If he has them, he has good coping skills!
God’s 3 greatest gifts to Andrew and I!

Morning Pictures

The large roll is fiber optic cable that will run straight to the house.

Fiber optic:  Vital for Andrew’s work.
I’m getting extremely excited about moving in here!
The gumbo clay the Carpenters didn’t want to keep dragging in yesterday.

Sleet & Rain

But they came and gave it a whirl until the gumbo clay drove them out.

A view driving to Haymarsh… not quite to main street…we were so happy the 40+ mile per hour winds didn’t blow the house away!
Not a bungalow, not a cottage, not a ranch that’s an “Andrew” style house.
Doh!  They almost got it closed up before the first winter storm.  They can handle the rain, sleet, and the wind, but they didn’t want to keep tracking the gumbo clay in the house and on the roof.
