We still do not have a music/band teacher, but the two dedicated long term substitute teachers did a nice job of putting on a concert with the students.

Quote of the Day
“And I saw that truly nothing happens by accident or luck, but everything by God’s wise providence … for matters that have been in God’s foreseeing wisdom, since before time began, befall us suddenly, all unawares; and so in our blindness and ignorance we say that this is accident or luck, but to our Lord God it is not so.”
–St. Juliana of Norwich
Today’s Meditation
“Love, by its essence, involves a leap into the unknown, a death to oneself, because genuine love is a love that loves to the end. And to love to the end means to die for those whom you love. It also means to forgive them. This involves the experience, one day or another, of the Cross and, therefore of sacrifice, which will seal the spouses’ unity definitively.”
—Robert Cardinal Sarah, p.25 Couples, Awaken Your Love

This is the third snow day and by the sound of it, looks like it will continue tomorrow.

“Write: I am Thrice Holy, and I detest the smallest sin. I cannot love a soul which is stained with sin; but when it repents, there is no limit to My generosity toward it. My mercy embraces and justifies it. With My mercy, I pursue sinners along all their paths, and My Heart rejoices when they return to Me. I forget the bitterness with which they fed My Heart and rejoice at their return. Tell sinners that no one shall escape My Hand; if they run away from My Merciful Heart, they will fall into My Just Hands. Tell sinners that I am always waiting for them, that I listen intently to the beating of their heart . . . when will it beat for Me?”
—Jesus to St. Maria Faustina, 1728
We ordered a large truck of feed. There goes our chance of a winter getaway. Change my attitude, right? Thank you God for all of our blessings!!!
| Quote of the Day |
| “When you sit down to eat, pray. When you eat bread, do so thanking Him for being so generous to you. If you drink wine, be mindful of Him who has given it to you for your pleasure and as a relief in sickness. When you dress, thank Him for His kindness in providing you with clothes. When you look at the sky and the beauty of the stars, throw yourself at God’s feet and adore Him who in His wisdom has arranged things in this way. Similarly, when the sun goes down and when it rises, when you are asleep or awake, give thanks to God, who created and arranged all things for your benefit, to have you know, love and praise their Creator.” –St. Basil the Great |

Tonight we are planning to do….Nothing!!!😇
We attended the Nutcracker last night. When the opportunity arises we like to show the children culture outside of agriculture. The children were mesmerized. We had 3 event staff come up and compliment us for well behaved children. I didn’t have time to tell them that I’m convinced that most of that comes from no screen time outside of family screen time. Wean children off of television, ipads, phones, etc and their attention and awe of the world soars!!!

Mother Mary has seen us through all of the storms in our life…with confidence we know that this will continue for she loves each and every one of us so much! Mother Most Pure, Mother Most Chaste, Mother Inviolate, Pray for Us!

Quote of the Day
“Let the Word of God come; let it enter the church; let it become a consuming fire, that it may burn the hay and stubble, and consume whatever is worldly; there is heavy lead of iniquity in many; let it be molten by divine fire; let the gold and silver vessels be made better, in order that understanding and speech, refined by the heat of suffering, may begin to be more precious.”
–St. Ambrose
