There’s been a lot of  kind-hearted folks over the years who have helped us out trailing our cattle to pastures. It was nice to have an opportunity for the boys and I to help with a trail drive today.

Our household woke up at 4:40 am today in order to be driving out of the yard at 5:15 a.m. The temperature was forecasted to be in the 90s and we wanted to get the trail drive over before the heat hit.
She needed her beauty rest at 9 a.m. this morning.
Simon & Ambrose went over to our chokecherry trees and picked a whole gallon of them. Simon then washed them and Andrew made syrup out of them.
Approximately every four days or so we need to go pick our tasty Jade beans.
I have a couple of quarts frozen already, and we’ve had beans almost every night for supper. Eating is so good in August!
Almost every farm kid I know needs to run across the bales at least once a year.
The boys caught a frog on Monday and were so excited to show me the habitat they made for him… Lucky for me by that afternoon he had jumped out of the barrel!
