Must be summer break, the ponies are back on the picket lines.

Grandpa and the children put in place American Flags by the veterans and KIA soldiers at St. Clements cemetery today.ย We always say a prayer after we are finished in appreciation of their sacrifices for the USA and for the repose of their souls.

Our gauge read 1.9 inches from the rain last night.ย The pattering on the rooftop was a beautiful sound!๐ง๏ธ

A chilly but fun wrap up of the year.ย I mentioned to Andrew that we should have named our two oldest Swift and Fleet, they both took first in the 25 m, 50 m, 100 m and 200 m dashes.

We had another set of twins, the cow only accepted the bull calf and abandoned the heifer, the children named this one Strawberry, she joined Silver in the bottle calf pen. The boys had 4-H demonstrations awhile back…they made the newspaper.

These tulips bring cheer to the front yard…so nice to have them greet us.

The tulips are blooming!ย With determination and consistent watering we might get some things to grow!

Andrew was able to find us a new no till disk that fits our tractor size!ย With quite a bit of coordination it was trucked from Georgia, unloaded in Glen Ullin and Andrew drove to town with the tractor and brought it home.ย Grandpa Bob and he worked most the afternoon assembling it, and now he’s planting!!!๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ฝ

We are enjoying having Grandma and Grandpa Jacobson here.ย We all enjoyed the Spring Concert.ย School end activities are a flurry, but usually fun.ย Simon’s teacher worked with Simon since her daughter is also a teacher and wanted to hatch out chicks in her classroom.ย The number of chicks that hatched was quite low, but the teacher reported…”The Pre K, Kindergarten & 1st grade came to see them. So precious!”
