Psalm 42:1

Prepping for the Fair in August.
I’m convinced that good, lifting one’s thoughts to God literature will lead our children to deep, intimate, relationships with friends and possibly future spouses which will then help them attain heaven! Read! It’s good for the Soul. Memoir of Mary Ann By the Dominican Nuns that took care of her, a powerful book!

Wisdom

We’re on a warm weather trend…the melt is really picking up! Apparently, this area now holds the record for longest winter since records have been kept, I believe it’s 150 + days of snow without melt.

The ducks sure seem happy.πŸ¦†
We’re so grateful that Grandpa took a few hours last week and cleared a path for the water to run through the yard, but away from the house.
It was nice to swing in and visit Great Grandma after the 4-H meeting. She has much wisdom to share.πŸ€“

Quote of the Day”Oh, my soul, how much longer do you wish to be so stingy with Jesus? Why so negligent towards Jesus who made You? Why so lazy towards Jesus who redeemed you? Who do you want to love, if you do not want to love Jesus?”–St. Gemma Galgani

St. Gemma Galgani (1878-1903) was born in Italy, the fifth of eight children born to a prosperous pharmacist. When she was young, Gemma’s mother and three of her siblings died of tuberculous. When she was 18 her father died as well, leaving Gemma to help care for her younger siblings. She rejected two marriage proposals and became a housekeeper while trying to enter the religious life as a Passionist. She was rejected due to her poor heath, and later became a Tertiary member of the order. Gemma developed spinal meningitis but was miraculously healed, which she attributed to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the intercession of St. Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows and St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. Throughout her life she united herself with the Passion of Christ and experienced great suffering as a result, but not without receiving many remarkable graces as well. She experienced many mystical visions and was often visited by her guardian angel, Jesus, and the Virgin Mary. For this she was known as a great mystic, and, according to her spiritual director, developed the stigmata at age 21. After a selfless life of love given to God for the conversion of sinners, she died on the Vigil of Easter at the age of 25. She is the patron saint of pharmacists, loss of parents, back illnesses, temptations, and those seeking purity of heart. Her feast day is April 11th

Surprise company came last night which made for a pleasant visit.
Time keeps on ticking…I helped my Mom babysit this cousin when I was 14, now he’s a father of two.
Virtual day today due to forecasted blizzard…this is what number he worked on today from the Seton Homeschooling curriculum that we use on the “off preschool days.” Fitting, I thought.
Ignatius received a really beautiful holy water font.

A Decade

10 years ago God blessed Andrew and I beyond measure! We prayed for children from day 1 of our marriage, and for a while it seemed like it wasn’t in God’s plans for us and then God gifted us a Treasure!

Always fun when a school Reading Month celebration aligns with one's birthday. πŸŽ‰πŸ“˜πŸŽ‚

“Cheerfulness strengthens the heart and makes us persevere in a good life. Therefore the servant of God ought always to be in good spirits.”

Swath Grazing

Grandpa had to clear a path for the calves to access the swaths.
Heading back for drinks.
All geared up to sell eggs once the hens lay more than 1-2 eggs a day.
Our local Deacon and his wife host a separate men’s and women’s group to couples/parishioners to help grow in their Faith. We’re blessed to have Grandpa babysit when he’s able so we can attend.
The men’s group is using a KC program for their Faith Formation.
