Quote of the Day”O my God, teach me to be generous, to serve you as you deserve to be served, to give without counting the cost, to fight without fear of being wounded, to work without seeking rest, and to spend myself without expecting any reward, but the knowledge that I am doing your holy will. Amen.”–St. Ignatius of Loyola

The Wisdom of the Saints (Book)….”Sooner or later we all rise or fall to the level of our friendships. The people we surround ourselves with either help us to become the-best-version-of-ourselves, or encourage us to become lesser versions of ourselves. We become like our friends. This book is an invitation to become friends with some of the greatest men and women who have ever lived.”

The importance of having honest conversations about purity and God’s design of our bodies with your children!
I enjoy sharing this story of a good college friend with my children. She saved her money to go and see a movie starring one of her favorite actors. She had her popcorn and settled in and within 5 minutes of the beginning of the movie there was an impure scene. She got up and walked out. I replied, “wow that was brave, didn’t know one could do that!” She said, “Not only can we, Jesus asks that we do.” To this day, I still call upon her lesson, when I’m in an uncomfortable situation and I know what I should do, but dread doing it, I think of her and her courage of doing what was right.
“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” -Mother Teresa
