Adventures in Haymarsh

Month: July 2020 (Page 2 of 2)

Chicks

The baby chicks were moved to the big chicken coop.  We all miss them being close.

He likes his pony.
This crew assembled Iggy’s new bed! He’s a big boy now!
Mary ready for the game against New Salem.
Sweet girls!

Cinderella Pumpkin!

With the extra help of Isabel and Grandpa’s cultivator we finally cleaned the pumpkin, zucchini, squash patch and located another Cinderella pumpkin!  The wet weather we’ve had since June 30 must have helped it germinate and grow.  This time we put a tire around it!

Summer weather

We had a little bit of a tornado scare but thank goodness nothing amounted of it on Tuesday night.

Pretty flowers are blooming in the butterfly garden.
Grandpa was able to cultivate the sweet corn! With the rains we’ve been getting, it’s really shot up!
A “HUGE” 🍓.
Played baseball against Richardton today.
Jet, Simon, & Jesus.
Ambrose, Star, & Jesus.
Bambi, the pail calf.

Daughter

I’ve convinced myself that Mary is 100% Andrew and doesn’t look like me at all, until someone reminded me to compare same age photos, maybe she does look a little like me.

Double Time

There’s been a break in the damp weather so Grandpa and Andrew worked double time to get the 2nd field raked and baled this evening!

Our view of the field on our way home from baseball practice tonight.

Church project

The secretary at St. Ann’s in Hebron gave all of the children a flat Jesus to take a picture of happenings they are doing this summer.  Here are a few things the children have been up to that we shared and thought I would share these pictures with you too.

Jesus, Simon, and a Baby chick.
Ambrose and Jesus in his butterfly garden.
Can’t forget about Fluffy!
Picking strawberries with Jesus.

Happy 4th of July!

God Bless America & Happy birthday USA!

We were able to host the Jacobson clan and catch a Medora Musical show!
Went to a ball game, but due to lightning it was rescheduled. Photo by Grandma Jen.
Heartwrenching for the boys, the first rain we received blew away the Cinderella pumpkin, they found it and replanted it, apparently we should have either staked it or put a tire around it to protect it… little fellas were so sad.
Collecting eggs with the Minnesota cousins.
Simon was able to show Alex the ponies.
Some photos from Grandma Jen!
Grandma Jen takes some really good photos!
