Buy Me Some Peanuts & Crackerjacks…

We attended the Peewee tournament in Glen Ullin yesterday.  I also added some photos of activities over the last week.

Blessed the cousins are playing on the same team!
Andrew shared this photo of Simon and his Godfather, Allen, shingling Skipper’s house.
Grandpa helping Simon add the back cinch and hooded stirrups to his saddle.
Early morning ride to beat the heat.
Ambrosia and her heifer, Princess.
Seeing if he’s still taller than the tomatoes.
The peas are flowering.
Searching for red strawberries, barefoot.
We’ve had a lot of rain this last week… typically we’re in a drought and well in to haying… now I’m wondering when we’ll get a chance to start cutting. I thought this rainbow was pretty.

Not big on quantity but big on quality!

I think one of the favorite tasks of the boys is to go over to the garden and see if there’s any red strawberries. None of them have made it to the house.

It rained this afternoon so we made cookies.
It’s nice to have neighbors drop in and it seems to happen most often on rainy days in the summer.

Reclaiming the Garden

After a week or so of being neglected he spent the afternoon weeding and working on the garden.

Grandma Jen sent this picture to me after we worked our late calves on Friday.
Thanks Tracy, that ride on his pony meant a lot to him!

Happy 4th of July!

We were so lucky to be able to celebrate with the Jacobsons, Meyers, and Gietzen grandparents.

Happy birthday U.S.A.!
The porch is now completly screened!
Putting Andrew’s homemade screen door in place. Thanks for helping Allen!
Thanks for sharing your musical talent Little Blue Stems!
