Adventures in Haymarsh

Month: March 2019 (Page 3 of 3)

Calm before the Storm

It is 18 above and perfectly still without even a breeze. We decided to spend as much time outdoors as possible as a storm is forecasted to come this way. Our thoughts are with our friends and family to the East as they are supposed to receive much more snow.

Finally warm enough to walk down by the horses.
King of the Mountain!
My little sweetheart!

Fruitful Lent

We had a “Fat Tuesday” supper with neighbors tonight. Hoping all of you have a fruitful and blessed Lent.

May we all “die to ourselves” in order to grow closer to God. I hope I can do my part in praying, fasting, and almsgiving.

Wheels on the Bus

In the last two days I had two people ask if our Kindergartener rode the bus to school. So, I thought I would post these pictures. The bus comes to the front of the house to pick him up before school and drops him off after school.

He’s home!

Blustery!

It was a blustery walk to the mailbox this morning!

Checking for eggs.
Grandpa heading out to feed the cattle with his trusty sidekick. That is one impressive dog! He can convince a fairly large herd of cattle that they would rather stay in their pasture.
Making lunch for Andrew… I am so looking forward to planting a garden…fresh produce!

First Haymarsh Well Read Mom Group Meeting

I have the world’s best and most supportive husband! I appreciate his help in getting this book group going.

It was an honor to host these fine ladies, I am looking forward to “accompanying one another in reading the classics, great books, and timeless spiritual works from the Western and Catholic traditions in order to nurture our hearts and our moral imaginations.”
